Abcess on back of head

DD2 is almost 19 months and has a lump on the back of her head that weeps enough to mat her hair but not so much that it wets her vest. It's about the size of a 10p. DH noticed it on Tuesday night. I was away but saw it on Thursday night. It hasn't gone down any since then. She has no temp and is not unwell but we are concerned with it being on her head. Do I wait for the dr on Tuesday (at the earliest) or take to a&e?

She also had lumps in her cheeks a few weeks back which is also concerning us incase they are related although these didn't weep. GP put it down to teething.

I would take her to out of hours if you are worried but having googled a bit, it could possibly be a sort of excema or psoriasis which both can cause weeping lumps.

It must be very worrying. If you go to out of hours you may only see a nurse...does she seem well in herself? Has she ever had any skin rashes like excema?

She does sometimes get an excema like rash on her body. We don't have an out of hours drop in service. It's either A&E or wait for the GP. She's fine in herself and still no temp with it so am sending DH to GP for an appointment in the morning. She's had it since last Tuesday, another day won't do any harm. Thanks for your suggestions.

DH took her to the GP today and she didn't know what it was either. DD2 now also has two smaller lumps that are also weeping. We have steroid cream and another appointment for next Monday if it doesn't improve.
