My DS has had a fever for the past two days. It's been managed by calpol every 5iah hours and there is a noticeable difference in how hot he feels after we take it. His temp has been around 37-38 under the arm. I'm going to the tomorrow to get him checked out and think teething molars might have something to do with it. Just wondering if your experienced fever this high with teething? He's been clingy and has wanted to breastfeed all the tine ( has been mimirnubf and before bed only feeds for a few months now)

Thanks!

yes, my eldest had fever every time a tooth was abvout to break through, stopped eating for 3 days and woke up shrieking.
had to force his jaws open as gently as we could (while he was throwing a fit!) to apply dentinox teething gel, when that worked we could give him calpol/nurofen

make sure he drinks enough to stay well hydrated

my eldest also had very high fever with tonsillitis, (38-40)
I kid you not he lived on Calpo/nurofen for over 2 weeks, despite antibiotic treatment!
I visited /talked to dr every 3 days, but as there was no change in anything all they wanted was to make sure that he drank enough liquids.
