toxic (?) mould ingested

Worrying a litte about this - DS (2) and I were at the stables this morning. The lady who runs it had her grandchildren there and offered him some apple juice at the same time as her girls. I fetched a sippy cup from the kitchen cupboard for him to drink it out of, looked clean enough at a cursory glance inside. Once he'd drunk all of the juice I went to rinse it out and noticed that the inside of the spout (made of rubbery stuff - not a Tommy Tippee type) was covered in that horrible black mould stuff, the type you get in bath toys. Sure he will have ingested some. As a one-off, do I need to do anything about this / anything to look out for? He's a very healthy toddler otherwise, so I'm probably stressing about nothing, but just wondered if anyone knew?

No, he'll be fine. It's probably generic common or garden mould and will be killed off in the stomach. If it was very well stuck on it probably wouldn't have come off in any case.

Keep an eye on him for the nexy couple of days, tummy ache/vomiting/diarrhoea. We all ingest/inhale spores on a daily basis without knowing so it's normally nothing to worry about. Seek medical advice if he becomes ill though.

Thank you, he seems fine so far so sure I was just worrying over nothing, but replies are really appreciated and have helped to calm me down!
