Do I need to take DD to the Doctors?

DD is 8. She has been sick in the mornings 3 times in four weeks.

There is no food, it is just frothy bile- not yellow bile. She is unwell for the whole day until teatime ish. No-one else in the house is ill at the same time and she eats the same food as the DS's.

She is a scrawny little thing, but eats well.

My mum suggested worms, so I have googled and it sounds a possibility. She did complain of an itchy bottom last night. I have had a look and can't see anything untoward.

A trip to the Dr's is worthwhile though, yes?

Yes, certainly won't do any harm.

I would definitely go to the dr. Is she moving her bowels enough? Grim terminology.

She had a poo yesterday. I didn't check it though. My mum said I should. I will ask DD as to its appearance on the bristol stool chart

You need to get a look at it. If it's threadworm you'll be able to see them.

I've not looked at the poo, but have looked up her bum. nice.

No visible redness, spots or worms.

you can get worm treatment over the counter at the pharmacy, they recommend you treat the whole family though so may be worth considering?

Could she have glandular fever?
My DD had this when she was 8 and it started with morning vomiting and tummy aches, generally feeling not right.
She also lost weight.
She had these symptoms for 3 weeks before she got a sore throat.

I think I want to go to the docs as I don't think it is worms. I don't think she has lost any weight, but she doesn't weigh much more than poor Kyra Ishaq, who was starved
