4 poos a day in 15 month old

This seems like a lot. She doesn't eat that much. She has a breast feed morning and night and 3 meals with a morning snack. She seems perfectly healthy and active, small for her age but proportionate I think. Most days it's 3 poos, sometimes 4. Are this many poos a day normal?

I think it's fine. DD is 18 months and sometimes it's 1 and sometimes 3 a day- depending on how much fruit she ate, I think.

Thanks Bella, She does eat a fair bit of fruit. But it's nearly always at least 3.

If I am not mistaken there isn't a one correct number of poos a day for adults- so why would there be for a toddler?

Why don't you give a call to a GP? I think if she's healthy, active etc then there probably isn't anything to worry about- she just has a fast metabolism. IIRC DD did 4 yesterday and 2 today. Sometimes it's none -but that's if she eats very little of fruit and veg.

DD2s record was 7 in one day. She eats a lot of fruit too but it wasn't like an upset tummy or loose poo. In fact DH said he'd be quite proud if they were his

She's down to 2 a day now at 2.8.

DD is 15 months and also has 3 or 4 poos a day. Interestingly, she's tiny for her age but perfectly in proportion. She has 3 meals a day with cow's milk with breakfast and tea. Again, eats quite a lot of fruit.

Her poos are soft (sorry if tmi) and were becoming formed, except that she HAS got a tummy bug now and has gone up to about 15 poos per day which are vile!
