Need some new books for dd (3), what are your 3 yr old's faves?

I'm getting fed up reading the same ones over. She has the Julia Donaldsons, Charlie & Lola's, Princess Poppy's and a load of other random ones. Any suggestions please?

DD1 likes silly billy, grufalo, little princess books and anything with pony's in

hairy maclary and all his mates went down well at that age, and anything by Jez Alborough, and the Apple Tree Farm books (but you may regret them - they get a bit annoying after a while !).

I highly recommend 'Someone Bigger' by Jonathan Emmett. It's a fun read for you, too and your child will want to shout out 'someone bigger' with you.

ds(3.5) has a gift card for waterstones which I top up occasionally, why not take your dd to a bookshop/library and let her choose.
ds's last purchase was Good Knight Sleep Tight by David Melling, which is lovely.

DS2 likes rhyming books, such as Each Peach Pear Plum, Peepo!, the Dr Seuss books. Why not go to the library for inspiration?

We're loving Polly Jean Pyjama Queen at the moment.
The Mungo (comic book style) ones are good.

Thanks all. I do take her to the library but our's isn't the best. I'm going to do an order from tesco as I can get them cheaper than bookshops.

You Choose is already a favourite.
She loves Beatrix Potter (doesn't exactly roll off the tongue though does it!)
'The story of the little mole who knew it was none of his business' is another fave.
'A Children's Treasury of Milligan' she adores.

DD used to love (still does at 8!) The DR Suess books. Her favourite was 'Wacky Wednesday' and 'Green eggs and Ham' but she loved all of them.

Angelina ballerina books are the top favourite in this house ! The Book People do the set for £10.

Otherwise, all the usual princess fairy tales (cinderella etc - yaaaawwwwnnnn).

My girls are currently trashing reading my copy of In the Night Kitchen from when I was tiny.

I've also just tracked down a copy of Benjamin's 365 birthdays - which was another childhood favourite of mine and which my girls adore.

You have to go to a stockist like alibris to track it down though.
