I'm currently reading this to my dds (5 and 7). They are really enjoying it. Keep asking for more.
But...I'm finding it so weird! I never read it before myself. It seems to jump around in time a lot, and it just doesn't seem to read like any other book we've read (which is a lot of classical children lit).
Anyone else found this?
I mean, I'll carry on with it as they seem to love it so much.
But can I ask you what age you would think is the best to read this book? And what are your opinions on it? Do you agree it's weird? Almost like he was on drugs...
We're only on chapter 2 or 3, by the way. Does it get more 'normal'?
