Chapter books to read aloud

My daughter is loving me reading her chapter books just read the magic finger and some rainbow magic books. Are there any other chapter books you could recommend? My daughter is three and a half :)

All these are old favourites, but really perfect for that age:

Mine tend to prefer picture books read to them (my 5 year old is now starting to read early chapter books herself)

My Naughty Little Sister would probably be popular, some of the Dick King Smith ones? Happy Mouseday is a nice one, you would have to check the stories of the others just in case anything she wouldn't 'get' yet. Anna Hibiscus, The Willow Valley ones, Bluebell Woods, Magic Toyshop.

If she likes longer stories but still likes pictures then try The Lighthouse Keeper books, Katie Morag and also Katie in the Art Gallery by James Mayhew.

Definitely Winnie the Witch. I love that Winnie books come in chapter and picture books as that means everyone can enjoy them - 3 DSs 7,5 and 2.

The Magic faraway tree series by Enid Blyton. My boys loved them.

The Mice of St. Goran
I never hesitate to recommend it to anyone and everyone - it is actually free for the Kindle or pc download with the Kindle App if you have it, and it is just lovely.
There are "one liners" that make the adults laugh, and the stories (each little chapter is a sort of stand alone story) are lovely - my lot loved them. I bought them to read at bedtime when we were camping, and on the way home, it was DH who asked for the last two chapters in the car because he "wanted to know what happened in the end"

All the Roald dahls pretty much although some are better than others. We started w fantastic mr fox and then did Charlie and then bfg, all of which have been huge hits

Children have amazing insights and powers of observation at this age! The perfect time to encourage in them a love of books and the written word! I have heard of children quite able to memorise the words of simple books that they have loved and ask for them over and over again! So! Anything that has big, bright, beautiful, expressive illustrations and simple story is a 'must' here. Never forgetting also, that we, their parents, are our children's best teachers.
