Due on Tuesday but not many BHs - Is this a problem?

Maybe a silly question... But as it says, I'm due on Tuesday but haven't had that many BHs. I think I've had a few but other people on here talk about having loads that keep them awake and are really uncomfortable. Is this likely to be a problem for me when the time comes? This is my first baby.

You may not be feeling them you lucky minx - believe me they are happening. Hopefully you will sneeze and a baby will appear.....I doubt it but it could happen

My Mum never felt any of her Braxton Hicks. She was astonished when I told her about mine. She didn't feel any of the early labour either, and was examined routinely by a midwife to find out that she was 4cm dilated. Hopefully you will be lucky and have the same, as I felt every single one of my early contractions, and it was most annoying!

Interesting. Thanks for replies. It sounds as though it's all going on in the background then, which is a relief as I was beginning to wonder whether nothing was happening and I'd be the one person whose baby doesn't ever come out!

They happen in all pregnancies but most mums don't really notice them until their 2nd pregnancy. Make the most of it... you are lucky!!

I wasn't aware of having any BH and didn't have any pains I was aware of til I went into labour the morning after my edd. So def not necessary!

Good luck!

I didn't really have any BH until midnight followed by labour starting at 4am...
Best wishes!

Thank you! I guess I should just count my blessings. Got plenty of backache though, so hoping that's a sign...

I wasn't having them, according to the monitor (I was in hospital for a week after my waters broke, and had to be on the monitor at least once every day) on the day I went into labour.

Then I started to get period-like pains at around 10.15 pm and DS1 was born at 2.15 am.

It wasn't quite like sneezing and having a baby, but almost!
