any good stories about induction with cervix not yet effaced?

Due for induction on Saturday. As of yesterday cervix had still not thinned, and head was only partially engaged. 3rd baby, so head is regularly bobbing up and down.

Anyone been induced when cervix like this and if so did it go OK? I am worried about being induced and ending with a c section if the induction does not work. I know that cervix may have changed by Saturday, but it may not.

I was induced at 40+14 without my cervix being effaced (I think this was due to baby being back on back). I was having regular contractions 5 hours after I was given prostin. The MW broke my waters and I had a syntocin drip. My DD was then born naturally.
I hope that things go well for you.

Had two induced labour births and dont know about effaced but was told that I showed no signs of going into labour and once in labour that it was totally dependant on chemical-syntocin.Gave birth vaginally both times-eventually! Third time was at 40+11 and midwife gave me what is known as a vigorous internal exam!! During which she said she found my cervix right round the back and then pulled it forward. Whatever she did- my waters broke the next day and contractions on and off until baby born 36 hours later. It is possible. Good luck
