Im 28 weeks pregnant and started getting lower back ache last week.At a routine midwife appointment I was told it sounded like sciatica.
I have suffered from back ache on and off for years now and was okay with an epidural for my first birth 10 months ago.
Im now worried as my mil told me that she had sciatica in pregnancy and they wouldnt do an epidural.
Tomorrow I have an appointment with the anaethesist)sp?) and Im so worried in case they say no as without one Im scared of facing labour again.
Does anybody have any experience of this that could ut my mind at rest?
Thanks

I had sciatica and I had a spinal anaesthetic for an emergency delivery.
