Anyone had 3 csections?

I just found out I am pregnant with third.

My first was an emergency section. Second was a planned section. I will have a section for my thrid (I think). 3 seems a lot. Has anyone else had three?

My last one was a problem as baby had engaged deeply so they had to cut me wider than usual and use forceps to get him out. Do you think this will cause problems for a third?

I've had 3. Second was a nightmare (loads of scar tissue, bladder stuck to uterus- said they couldn't separate it). 3rd was done by someone senior- very straightforward, uterus and bladder weren't stuck together!

I have had 3 and not had a problem with any of them.

My mother had 3:

Me in 1972 as she had pre-eclampsia.
Sister in 1975 as first was c-section.
Brother in 1979 (ditto).

She had a bad time with first two but third was ok.

I would consider VBAC (vaginal birth after delivery).

Personally, (am 6 months pregnant), am not too worried if i have to have a c-section. I will not hesitate to have one if medically necessary. As opposed to my SIL whose mother told the Dr not to give her one - SIL had a terrible time in labour. Sometimes, c-sections are a better option than VB.

A mate of mine had 3. In fact she had 3 in 4½ years. First was an emergency one too.

She had no problems at all (and was just over 40 when she had her last)

I've had three - 1st with a GA, 2nd with an epidural and 3rd with a spinal.

All were fine.

Spinal has left me with a bit of backache though, 7 years on.

3 is normally considered ok I think. The docs start getting edgy at 4, although lots of people have that many.

You may get a more senior doc doing it because of the potential buildup of scar tissue inside. But they are used to this.

I've had 4 sections, and am fine (apart from my stomach muscles, which are pretty grim-looking, but hey my bikini days were over long ago).

My first was an emergency but the others have all been planned. I have had fairly senior doctors doing them (or on call while they were done), and there haven't been any problems with scar tissue.

I knew I wanted 4 kids so just at the end of the 3rd section I asked the surgeon if it would be alright to have another, and he said he thought things were fine and he wouldn't mind doing another section (he was the consultant).

One doctor I saw with my second pregnancy said it was fine to have up to 5! But he was a bit of a mad butcher I think. Even if I thought I wanted more kids, I'm not sure I would risk a 5th as there is more chance of complications. But 3 should be fine. Do suck up to the senior doctors though so you get someone good.

I had 3, then a vbac with number 4. the sections were 3 in 3 years, all went fine. I have a friend who has had 7. She might as well get a zipper put in!
