Anyone About???

Am 35+5 weeks pregnant with my first and have been having very bizzare pains for a an hour or two now. There doesn't seem to be any structure to them and they just come as and when. I'm wondering if it's just braxton hicks?

It's like a tightening all over my stomach, directly under my bump and occassionally in my back. But it's quite painful and sometimes it's really taking my breath away. It's not unbearably painful or anything and seems to hurt more when I'm sat down or still. But when I get up to move it hurts as well. Standing up and rocking my hips seems to calm it slightly. Any ideas what it could be? I can't tell if my stomach is tightening up and going hard or if it's the baby moving, is this making any sort of sense?

And sorry if tmi but it feels like there is loads of pressure in my bum too! The pain comes and goes and like I said there doesn't seem to be any sort of pattern to it.

Right well I'm going to go and lie down and hopefully it will ease. Check back later

Hi Lwatkins - how's it going now? If you are worried then I would ring your hospital and explain to the midwives what is going on. They should be able to let you know if you should come in or not, but if your waters haven't broken and the pain is not regular then maybe a warm bath will help.

Hello yes I'm fine now.....I think.
Pain eventually ebbed away at about 6 this morning when I was also violently sick! Good stuff lol. Putting it down to braxton hicks, see m/w tommorrow so will speak to her about it then. Thanks
