About a month ago or so. Could you please post the link again? I am having trouble finding it and I want to pass it onto a friend.
Many thanks

Thanks, but my friend isn't off to Holland, I just found it really interesting to read about how they handle labour over there. She is in the process of deciding how she wants to manage her labour (and is considering a home birth) and I thought it might give her some confidence to read about a system where the norm is for many women to give birth in a natural way and for everyone to be so matter of fact about it! I mentioned the article to her and she said she would like a look - it's just a shame I can't find it!

I think (not too sure-I don't seem sure about a lot I'm posting tonight sorry) that Holland has special obstetric "flying squads" that can get to home births that go wrong quickly and help sort things out. MM do you know if that's true?

Plibble, it wasn't me who wrote the post you're looking for but I did have my 3rd baby in Holland. Will post later as I have to get the kids off to school now (getting them out of bed would be a good start!)

My cousin said that if something goes wrong they call an ambulance and go direct to hospital. Has not heard of special obstetric "flying squads" that can get to home births that go wrong quickly' She said she are all highly trained. Mybe they are no special ones, maybe they are all the same?
I will ask my aunty later though just in case the meaning has been lost in translation.
