Bad cough post CS, pulling at muscles - would you are someone?

I'm 3 weeks post cesarean, recovery has generally been very good with no problems with the scar at all. However I've caught a cough and cold and have been coughing a lot over the past few days. The right side of the scar now really hurts, it obviously hurts when I cough but it's aching all the time now. It's not bruised or weeping or anything. Is it worth seeing anyone to check it, or will there be nothing they can do as it doesn't seem like I've pulled stitches or anything?

I would see someone OP. To check your scar and prescribe something for your cough if poss. Ive just been prescribed codeine which is helping a lot but depends if you're breastfeeding I think.

I remember this. If it's not looking infected, or bleeding or weeping I doubt there's much they can do tbh. Just one of those things. Hope it improves soon.

I just wanted to say, keep coughing! I had a really bad cough post c-section and it turned into pneumonia because I didn't cough enough. I know it feels like your guts are going to fall out, but cough anyway!
