Serious childbirth injuries were the main topic on Victoria Derbyshire this morning.
Very moving film from Jean Mackenzie.
The women featured are so brave.
Some hope of training in minimising injury.

I thought the programme was very informative, having suffered a 3b tear. It made me realise how well compared to the women interviewed, I was treated. Hopefully more training will be given.

Agree. Even though a number of healthcare professionals never called a spade a spade I was still swiftly referred to the correct departments.
I hope more awareness and training will enable women to get the help and compassion they need.
I cried throughout the film. Maybe it is cathartic it is finally talked about.
