Childbirth

I think I might be in labour

I'm not sure what to do! This is my 3rd baby - you'd think I'd know by now.

I stayed at home for as long as I could manage with DC2 and no one would believe me when I did go in and he was nearly born on the floor.

I'm panicking that this will be another fast one but I don't know when to go in. Birth centre is about 5 miles away.

Contractions started at around 5pm and are now every 10 mins. They're bearable but definitely labour contractions rather than BH.

Do you think I've got time to watch the football? I've taken paracetamol and have a hot water bottle.

Ooo!!! Exciting!!
Considering how fast your last baby arrived, and your contractions are regular, I would go just to be on the safe side and avoid a road side delivery!! My Dd arrived in 3hrs from the first contraction, and I'm half an hour from the hospital, so planning a home birth this time round!
Good luck OP, and keep us posted Grin

Well I'd sit and try and get distracted by the football and go in when you're contracting every 3 mins lasting 45 secs or longer. (My unprofessional view!)
Best of luck!!!

I'd watch the football, and go in if they get to 3 mins apart. Do you have childcare etc sorted out?

Childcare is sorted- the DC are staying at grandparents tonight so at least I don't have that to worry about.

Contractions are getting much stronger, the paracetamol isn't really doing much for me now. Still just under 10 mins apart though so not too close together.

Let's see how the second half goes!

At least it's a cracking game. When I was in early labour with DS1, I watched Ceefax!

It was labour! DS3 was born at 3:15am. Great result for the football and a baby in one night Smile
