I remember it being weeks but can't be exact. After 3 dds you'd think I'd remember but memory is a strange thing!

I can tell you that sex didn't even cross my mind for months . It must do for many women though hence some v small age gaps between children...

10 days.....but 6 weeks is also normal

Charley...any sudden increase in fresh red bleeding can be a sign you are doing too much...also, any pain , fever & big clots can be signs of infection ! so keep an eye on the loss generally! xx

and get contraception sorted too !

With DS1 i had a ton of stitches and didn't feel like sex for months and months, this time i had one that has healed lovley, no pain at all even directly after the birth i was able to go to the toilet quite pain free which i was happy about!
So this time i am quite ready to indulge but will obviously bee waiting for a few weeks yet!

I must have got off lightly, only about 2 weeks for me.
We started having sex again after about 4 weeks, it was very strange the first time, a bit like losing your virginity again, I was so worried it would hurt. It was a bit sore but not anywhere near as bad as expected considering what just came out!!
Good luck

Bleeding lasted a week after my DD born, had sex 2 weeks after she was born. I, like you, had very little tearing with her, compared to with my DS. When she was 2 weeks old I felt perfectly happy to have sex (and wanted to!).
As breast feeding didnt have a period until I stopped when she was 11 months old.

About 5/6 weeks for me, but only 2 of which were proper heavy, after that it's just like an ongoing tail-end of a period. I'm impressed you're keen to restart your sex life though, was the last thing on my mind

mine was 4 weeks then got period 3 days later that 3 day gap was enough to get DH in a better mood though

Rosy - I was (and still am!) breastfeeding and yet still got period... so unfair... And I'm still doing nightfeeds but still got periods! I'm just very lucky!
