I'm 39+3 weeks pregnant and last night I had terrible bad ache and period like cramps, the pains were not too painful as I managed to fall asleep. However today I feel sh*t, I have on and off pains in my back, my stomach has on/off tightenings. And a pain on both of my stomach sides. All I've wanted to do is sleep all day, and that's exactly what I have been doing. Blush
All, sorry if this is tmi, but last week I had a serious case of diaherra which I assumed was my body clearly out. However today I feel constipated, also again this may be tmi but I feel as though my vagina is bruised/swollen. Could this be signs of early labour. I am still feeling baby's movements, so I am not at all worried.

Sounds good! Might not be imminent but things definitely sound like they're progressing. Good luck!

I am 39 + 4 and going through the exact same thing! in fact I have been for the past two weeks and had enough now! I really thought it was going to happen a couple of weeks ago but now I have given up on that! the tightenings are so painful sometimes. I have midwife on Tuesday and hoping she can check if I am dilating at all, I hope so but not lost my plug yet :(

berry same, I have a mw appointment on Thursday and I'm hoping she can give me so good news. Every time I've been previously I've been told the lo is still not engaged, hopefully she now is.Smile

I have my appointment on Wednesday and my midwife has already said she would do a sweep but I'm scared! Haha. It's gotta mean something that we all feel the same? Haha

coney I can only hope. Oh don't be nervous, she wouldn't offer to do one unless your cervix is in favour. Hopefully you won't need one though, you'll have your lo! Flowers

How do you feel about the birth? One minute I'm excited the next I'm close to tears!! I'm so ready to meet baby now though! Are you both fed up of people asking if baby is here yet? I get at least 4 texts a day...off people who would be the first people to know when the bloody baby is here!

Exactly the same, sometimes I'm so frustrated that I haven't got my baby in my arms, then other times I'm a complete wreck about the birth. Are you both first time mummy's?
It's the same, admiringly what's getting to me the most is when they ask and I say no, the reply is always "not long now anyway" and I think easy for you to say, you're not heavily pregnant win the middle of a heatwave. With swollen ankles and mixed emotions, plus waiting for the unknown date Maybe I'm just being too snappy though aha Blush

We sound like the same person haha.

I'm exactly the same always the 'not long nows' I said to my mum before 'it might as well be 12 more years!!' Haha.
Im a first timer yeah! Hoping that things just happen now because I want it over and done with so I can stop obsessing!

Haha, it's the babies making us crazy.
I know people say the last weeks drag, but Jesus I wish I knew just how much they drag. I'm almost at the point of asking my mw just to pull her out. Blush
