I think I must have a new ailment everyday at this late stage!

I've had quite a straightforward pregnancy with very few complaints and have been able to carry on relatively normally aside from carpal tunnel.

In the last 5 days I can add tarsal tunnel, night sweats, acne, swelling, and dizziness to the list.

Is this what drives us to the desperation to get through labour?!

It'd be interesting to hear from other mtb at this late stage in pregnancy about how their body is changing and I assume gearing up for labour...

Pregnancy sucks doesn't it?! Anyone who said they love being pregnant either is a) lying b) suffering memory loss or c) mental!!!

I have a severe case of piles that seem to have been caused by baby dropping and im in agony. I can't seem to get rid of them even using prescription stuff and im having daily melt downs about how the hell I can go on in so much pain, get a baby out and what state my rear end will be like after delivery!

It's engulfing my every thought and movement at the mo and im petrified!
Luckily i don't have much else except heartburn ( which I've been on medication since about 20 weeks!) and SPD which again I've had from very early on as I had last pregnancy.

Hope baby makes an apperence for you soon. If your anything like me your at your wits end and willing to start eviction by any means! Good luck!

Poor you, that must be extremely frustrating. I hope that the prescription starts to take effect before D-Day and that you have one less thing to worry about going into labour.

When are you due?

I cannot wait for my body to return to some form of normality...I feel like a hypochondriac on speed!

I so can't wait either, last few days since bump dropped baby has been pressing on a nerve, so can't sleep with that aswell as insomnia. The extra pressure down low with mild contraction is a real pain, keep hoping for them to get sore then at least I know it will be over in a few hours I'm 40 +6 today and I'd had my other babies by no apart from one who was 10 days late. Hoping baby arrives soon for you x

37 weeks here and absolutely fed up. Every week seems to bring more difficulties and I'm just thoroughly bored and uncomfortable now. I genuinely cant wait for my labour pains to start - never thought I would be praying for contractions Grin

39 week's tomorrow, had a smooth pregnancy and I've been really lucky, little bit of spd but only the last few weeks.
However, this last week I've had excruciating back/rib pain, which is only soothed by heat or being in a bath, it's doing my nut, just horrible and is constant from about mid afternoon and increasingly in the mornings.
I am desperate fir this baby to come, he just seems to spend hours every day grinding his bum against my ribs and kicking me in the ribs on the other side, plus causing this sort of 'banged your funnybone' feeling in my pelvis. I've said I will go to the end of my 42nd week as I really want a vbac, I can see me changing my mind!

Add insomnia to the list too...!

I'm getting to that stage too where I cannot wait to feel the first proper contraction! I had quite a few BH and period-like cramps last weekend, but then they disappeared and I haven't felt anything similar in days, which makes me think that I'm in for quite a wait.

I hope that your LOs arrive soon and that all these afflictions leave us soon after. Maybe the eclipse on Friday could stir things!
