Period pain but no show

Today is my due date and after some lower back pain last night, I woke a couple of hours ago with more accompanied by what I can only describe as period pain (which goes when I use my relaxation techniques). No show, no waters broken and am due in for monitoring this afternoon for blood pressure anyway, but am I being daft or could this be it?

Could be. I didn't get a show until I was 5cm dilated and my waters didn't break until I was 10cm dilated. Good luck!

Thanks, don't think it is as was hooked up to the monitor and they said there was almost no uterine activity.... Am now trying a variety of things (just had the most fab chilli indulgence in Thai meal and about to have some pineapple!).
