Recommendation for childbirth book?

Can anyone recommend a good book on how to cope with childbirth??

Another vote for Juju Sundin- I'm 34 weeks and feel so much more confident about labour and birth (first baby) than I did before reading. I've since loaned it to two friends and a third has downloaded it and they all say the same. Also a very interesting and detailed read.

I did also try Ina May Gaskins book I think it was called guide to childbirth but it wasn't for me- a bit too hippy dippy "I'm on a wave of energy" type of thing.
Another friend lent me an American book called Active Labour which was good for suggesting labour positions but was a lot less detailed about actual labour than Juju. Think its about £9 on Amazon. Enjoy!

Third vote for Juju Sundin - lots of coping techniques for pain management which made me feel a bit prepared. As it turned out I didn't use much of these but the chapter on how medicalised births can still be positive experiences was really, really helpful - I had an induction for pre-eclampsia that ended in EMCS, and I'm sure her book contributed to the fact that I feel positive about the experience.

Definitely Juju Sundin's book 'Birth Skills' can't recommend it highly enough, saw me through 3 positive birth experiences using her practical techniques - altogether now "Haaaaaaah".

I've loaned it to many friends over the last 6 years and all have said it made a difference to them.
