C&W Kensington Wing consultants - help

I know there've been a couple of older threads on this but it would be good to hear some more recent experiences. Nick Wales, Keith Duncan or Vasso Terzidou - has anyone been under their care in the last 1-2 years and what were the impressions? Also, would be great to get an idea of the total fee they charge (hospital charges excluded).

Thanks in advance for any feedback,
Sue

I was under Vasso's care last year from 37 weeks for my PFB but not by choice....she happened to be the consultant on duty when my test results panicked the midwives! I can't speak for the antenatal care, but was very happy with the way my complications and subsequent induction was handled during what was a very worrying and stressful time.

Vasso was keen to give me as natural a birth experience as possible, despite being induced, which I really appreciated. My complications were unusually prolonged post delivery so I had a troupe of consultants from around the hospital trying to determine the cause in the days that followed. This was largely down to Vasso who, I was told, was making sure my case was highlighted, pestering the relevant specialities and even consulting one of the top experts in the world.

I can't remember the cost I'm afraid, but I do remember thinking it was reasonable...(coming from someone who initially opted for midwife led care, but then ended up staying on the ward for a week...ouch!)

Hope that helps!

Thank you Fleura. I had a meet & greet with Dr Vasso yesterday and liked her a lot. Also met Nick Wales (a very likeable character indeed) and meeting Keith Duncan tomorrow. Hope to make my decision then. All I know so far is NW charges ca. 1k more for his package.
