Waiting for induction

I'm sat in maternity triage waiting for induction.
Came in cos baby wouldn't move and as I'm GD they want to induce and I thought why not. 39+6 so let's get this party started!!

Waiting for mum to get to mine to look after my 2yr old dd so that my DH can come and be here with me.
Just had an examination and a stretch and doc said it's a fingertip open but till quite posterior.
But at least it's on it's way!!

Can't wait to meet my little boy!

Aw good luck! I was induced with number 2. They put the drip in and 1 hour 54 minutes later he was born!

Ahhh how exciting that it will all be happening soon!

Dont get disheartened if it takes time - in the end it will all be worth it.

Thanks ladies Smile

Since she did the sweep I've been getting god awful cramps and pains. Wouldn't say contractions but hoping it's a good sign!!

Am very scared of the drip as they keep telling me there's an increased chance of epidural and then a section..... I have a pre existing back injury so an epidural scares me! Plus I am a terrible control freak so not being able to feel to push would upset me!

DS arrived at 7.50 am on 15th September.

Had 2 lots of gel and had diamorphine to relax after the second gel as I contract like a good un and it exhausts me!
Was checked at 6.30am and was 4cm.... Suddenly screamed for my midwife at 7as baby was crowning!!
Mad dash from maternity ward to labour and he was out in less the 20 minutes!!

My DH nearly missed it as at 6.30 he went to get us some coffees for breakfast. Arrived back to find me being bundled into a wheelchair and rushed round to delivery! Baby was born and our coffees were still warm!
We are home now and getting used to the newborn madness again Smile
