Is this labour? Do I call DP to tell him to come home?

Hi, I am 37 weeks 5 days. Today from 3pm I have had tightenings which are not stopping but are not getting more intense either (it's now 8:30pm). I decided to time using an app and the average calculation for the last hour is 5 tightenings with an average length of 1 minute 18 seconds with an average frequency of 9 minutes apart.

I would not say they are painful, more intense and uncomfortable.

Problem is my partner works 3 hours drive away. He is away all week. At what point do we decide he comes home.

I'll feel really silly if he drives back and it is just Braxton hicks.

Braxton Hicks are worse if you're dehydrated. Have a big glass of water and see if that helps :)

Apart from that, no one on here can answer your question with anything other than a guess. In my case I had contractions like yours for about 2 weeks before my first baby. I'm sure there will be someone along in a minute who went from what you're describing to a baby in less than 4 hours!

I've had fluids all day.

It's do hard to know. I'm going to take a shower and move around more and see if that reduces them.

Poor DP is literally stuck to his phone and steering wheel.
