posted here and pregnancy because not sure which will have most people in the know..
I know that you shouldn't visit a newborn if you have a coldsore but what if the MUM has a coldsore? I never usually get em I have a lump and a tingle on the side of my mouth baby imminent, what do I do??? will I have to move out?
I wouldnt kiss the baby if you do get an outbreak and make sure things that come into contact with you mouth dont go near babies mouth. I get them all the time and when I had dd midwife said no kissing as it can cause blindness in the baby, that was a long time ago now so info may have changed.
