Coop Bedding

What is everyone's preferred bedding for the coop?

I'm a newbie. Eglu classic and 5m static run set up and getting 4 bantams locally when I return from holiday. I have just ordered hardwood chippings for the run and am toying with adding coir on top (as suggested in another thread - apparently this turns the poop to compost without having to poo pick). Wondered what the best bedding would be for their house. Thank you. Any other tips welcome too :)

Im a big fan of aubiose horse bedding for my eglu. Costs about 11 for 20kg bale and lasts forever.

Second aubiose. I cover the eglu coop with newspaper and the aubiose on top. Works great.

I just put newspaper down on the floor of the coop and change daily / every other day. The nest boxes are lined with newspaper and then have shaving in, but these don't get changed very often as they are only sitting in them to lay.

I also use auboise with newspaper underneath so I can just whip it out and change

I also use Aubiose, but if I put paper in my ladies have a shredding fest so we have to do without.

I use zeolite - which I found on ebay in fish supplies. It is used as a natural filter for fish ponds, but I use it like litter. It is natural - so doesn't affect the birds if they eat it and it can go in the compost. It lasts forever as you just poo pick with a litter scoop which means less to compost (good for me as my duck litter takes over the composter!). My coop is very clean, doesn't smell and no bugs. I use bliss bedding in the nest boxes.

Aubiose here too. Changed from shavings as this rots down faster once in the compost heap.

Do you mean in the coop or the run?

I have wood chippings in the run and hay in the nest but wondered if I should be using anything else inside the coop :)
