How much to pay for holiday service?

Question on behalf of my mum and her 3 cluckers- she's going on holiday and is looking at using one of three pet hotels in her area, so would take the hens there and pick them up again after her break. She will provide their normal food but bedding is included in the daily rate. She's not used anything like that before so is wondering what a reasonable rate actually is, according to her the price varies quite a lot between the three (not sure what rates actually are though, thanks mum that's v helpful).

What do you/would you pay for a hen sitter who looks after your feathered friends at their premises rather than coming to yours? And are there particular things she should be wary of/check out?

Hoping you lot can please help with our wittering questions!

I pay £5 a night or £40 a week for upto 8 chickens, in an individual pen. They provide everything and keep all the eggs, but give you a dozen to take home.

I would LOVE to run a hen hotel.

I don't use a hen-sitter as my neighbour also has chooks so we look after each others but if I did, I would expect to pay around £5 a day for my 3.

We also pay £5 per night at a place that provides everything and keeps all the eggs.

Bloody hell, I give the girl up the road £5 to look after ours when we are away - usually either a week or 10/11 days. I'll be keeping her sweet if it's £5 a day!
