Maxi Cosi Cabriofix sun canopy

I took the cover off my Cabriofix to wash it, but foolishly also removed the sun canopy. I finally managed to get the cover back on, but can't for the life of me work out how to attach the sun canopy again. Does anyone know whether it goes on before, or after, the cover and also where it attaches?

Many thanks!

Put it on after the covers. It sort of slots between the seat and that plastic rim that can be opened slightly. Open it up and slot it in then there are sort of hooks at botton to hold it in place.

Sorry rubbish at explaining, hope makes sense. Maybe theres a YouTube demo out there!

You can always try ringing customer services, they are really good at telling you how to fix them

I know everyone is going to be really irate about reanimating the zombie, but it has just taken me a good hour and a half to reattach the bloody covers and hood to the car seat after washing it for our impending newborn and there is a dearth of information on the internet on how to actually do it.

For the canopy,

  1. open the plastic rim by pressing the grey button behind the head of the carseat and pulling outwards.

  1. attach the loops on the top of the hood to the hooks on the carrying handle. I kept the handle in the upright position.

  1. tuck the bottom edge of the hood into the plastic rim

  1. there are no hooks to reattach on the bottom edge of the canopy. If you turn the chair over you can see that the plastic rim ends in a slotted shape. The elastics are sewn into a v shape and simply slide into these slots (from inside the rim outwards). The v shape holds them in place.

  1. push the plastic rim back into place.

Again, sorry for the zombie thread reanimation, but thought I might save someone else the frustration. It may well be that everyone else in the world is clever enough to have worked this out without any problems! I am, in my defence, very pregnant and quite grumpy about it.

Lifesaver! This had nearly defeated me and I wanted to return it washed and intact to the person who lent it to me
