I hope you find this useful

We have stayed at Holmsley before and had a lovely time. It's a basic campsite though with a small park for the children to play in. There's also lots of room for them to play - great for taking bikes.

we have been to roundhill and the ponies come up to the tent ther the site is very basic though no showers

have also been to red shoot which is nice as it has a ppub at the entrance and a nice refurbished shower block

Most of the campsites that are actually in the forest, I think, will have roaming ponies (don't feed them though!).

My parents live down there so we don't need to camp when we go so can't give any recommendations I'm afraid!

Friends regularly use Hollands Wood though with their kids and love it.

Have a lovely time . We are going down there for our summer holiday as usual at the end of the month!

It's on south coast, Hampshire, sort of opposite Isle of Wight if you look at map of UK.

So not only do you have the forest, you can also get to beaches if you have a car.

We live in west london and takes about an hour and half to get there.
