Off Eurocamping next week - Duvet or no Duvet?

We're off to the Vendee next week and I don't know whether to take just sheets or duvets too - we're in a mobile home.

Its just so freezing here that I can't imagine not being snuggled up under a winter tog duvet!

What would you do?

I think you will be fine without one.

I was in the tents in May (holland) and we just had sheets with a sleeping bag on top.

See how much room you have for extra's.

there are usually blankets uunder the seats in teh mobile homes - no to duvet!

I was in a Eurocamp mobile home in Italy last year at end of June. Weather was lovely but I was freezing at night- I had about 6 blankets on my bed and was still cold, so I'd definitely take my duvet next time.

HI there, nothing to do with duvets just took an interest in this thread. I curretnly do Haven holidays in Britain and want to do a Eurocamp or similar next year. How do you all find the travelling with dc's. Mine are 7 and 5. Thank you and sorry to hijack the thread.

Duvets all the way. i camp loads during the summer in the UK and even when it is baking in the day, I always need the duvet by 4am. There is nothing more miserable than being cold at night. If it turns out to be too hot at night then all you have sacrifices is a little room in the car, not every nights sleep. Have fun.

tbh if you are mobile hoe what do you need to take, Clothes, a bit of food? what else. SWWe alway do duvets/pillows , if needs be packed first with other stuff ontop.

For a mobile we would do. - one bag of cloehes, one of towels and sheets, one bag of food and ducets/popillows, Job done

we've done south france in may when it's been v hot during the day but v cold at night

we've always needed extra blankets from the spare beds

Oooh. I dunno. Even DH, who was brought up in a house which had ice on the inside of the windows in winter, was cold when we stayed in one of those caravans. Blankets just not as warm as duvets IME.

I always take duvets!!! hate sheets n blankets. Tho this year we're flying to Italy so won't be able to squeeze one in the luggage. Let's hope it's hot then!!!

Singyswife - we've trevlled to Vendee/Brittany for the last 6 years since the dcs were 3mo and 1yo!! Travellking has always been fine. The overnight western ferries are fantastic bt vvvv expensive - it's a long drive from Calais but it is way cheaper. Post up some info on where you want to go and when and I'm sure youll be inundated with advice!
