7.3m x 6.85 tent - will it be difficult to get into some campsites?

just bought the 3-bed outwell hartford xl - it looks fantastic and good quality but not sure if some campsites might say it's too big to use during peak season...? I've heard that some only have 7m x 7m pitches! has anyone experienced any problems with big tents...? any advice on alternatives...? we have 5 days left to return it... we really want the extra headroom (dh is 6ft1) and the third bedroom to dump our stuff... it's me, dh and a 2yr old but maybe another little'un on the way sometime in the future...

One of my friends has one of these and hasnt had any problems. One of my other friends has the xxl with 4 pods and is having problems, some sites wont take it (usually the smaller sites), others make her pay for 2 plots. If you have some idea of the places you want to go to, have a quick ring round or check their websites, its the only way to be sure.

cheers do you tend to camp at peak times though? i.e. school summer holidays, bank holidays etc.

We have the xxl & have had no problems getting a pitch & have never been charged for 2 plots. We always go in school holidays & have never had a problem.

Thanks hennipenni. I phoned around a few campsites - most were ok but a couple said we'd have to park our car away from the tent. Decided to swap it for the outwell nevada L here in the end, partly because we realised we wouldn't have room to open it up on the lawn if we needed to dry it out after a wet weekend! should have thought of that before I guess... oops !
