any top tips as to what we should take with us? not sure what i'm going to get for her to sleep in. don't like the cots that rest on the floor, like the samsonite ones. anyone know of any different ones to use?
cheers

We went camping for the first time when ds was 8 months and he loved it! He is an outdoors child tho!
Not sure about the cots (we co sleep so ds just got in with us with bedding from home).

The thing we found most handy was an all in one waterproof (they are very thin so still need appropriate coat) it is excellent for in a morning when the grass is damp and they are toddling about and crawling.

Ours love camping too they have been going since they were babies. They have always slept with us too. The fresh air seems to knock them out, so we found they slept better in the tent!!

we've never slept with dd, so a little worried about that, esp if we have a drink or 2 in the eve.. what do all of you sleep on? we have an airbed (my one essential luxury) which tends to deflate during the night so we would all be wobbling about a bit.
what else could we use?

i know it sound obvious but a travel cot should do the trick? also very handy for when your cooking etc to put them in

Ours was a navy regatta one which I have just sold on ebay for more than I bought it for! Got it from a camping shop that sold tents, fleeces, waterproofs etc. Millets probably do them but got ours cheap from a local independent shop for £5.99!

I'm quite as we aren't off to scout camp this year (we normally go as a family and me and dp are adult helpers for their ratios)! We are off to good old haven instead!
