Haven holidays - Blue Dolphin or Blackpool?

Hi everyone!

Have not been on holiday for years and would like to go away. I don't have a car and these two have close by links.

I was just wondering if anyone has been to either and could recommend/slate them!

I have a 9 month old DS and a quiet moody P who will just moan anyway!

Thanks anyone! x

We went last year. It's OK - not the 4 stars it claims but it is RIGHT by the rollercoasters and the pleasure beach. It is quite expensive for what it is tho, with your ds I would suggest somewhere where there is more than the pleasure beach which he wont appreciate anyway.

My ds's LOVED it - but they are 14 and 11!

we went to Reighton, (a Haven park just down the coast from Blue Dolphin and a bit quieter) a few years ago and it was ok - not great, but ok.

we did like Filey - it's quite old world seasidey and we had the hugest portion of fish and chips that I've ever had there.

Your ds would like the beaches, we didn't see the sea for a week cos of the sea mist - in August! but I bet on a sunny day it's lovely.

We weren't so keen on Scarborough or Bridlington though.

Depends what you want I guess?

Primrose Valley gets my vote. Although it's a big all action site we didn't spend much time there.
