We normall go to Trewan hall who which is a lovely quiet site but not a lot to do ther especially if the weather is bad. This seems to have more entertainment just wondering if anyone has had a good holiday there??

We had a great time but weather was fab so we didn't use more than their beach (and bar area for free wifi).
You can walk to Mevagissy, stunning coastal walk, we also canoed there.
The indoor pool and kids play area looked really good though.
There is a bus stop right outside the site. One stop is the Heligan Gardens, another is just marked "Asda" so a great site to leave the car on.
Our only note was that we had a fab huge pitch on the edge of site, right on the beach. Some of the pitches nearer the entertainment end and in middle did look rather cramped ( but if you are staying in their mobile homes that won't bother you).

We stayed there last year and loved it. The beach is gorgeous, and we had a pitch second row back from it. It was lovely listening to the waves as we went to sleep. We didn't really use the entertainment stuff but the swimming pool was fine - not huge but has a couple of slides that the kids liked. We ate at the Seahorse which was nothing spectacular, but ok, and the fish and chip place was good.

The walk to Mevagissey was hard work but lovely and there's a coastal walk in the other direction too, plus a walk to St Austell following the old railway line - they do bike hire too if you're into cycling.

We also walked to the Lost Gardens of Heligan.

The bus stop outside goes to Mevagissey or St Austell, St Austell has a railway station if you want to go off on the train anywhere.

We were lucky that the weather was good when we were there, we spent most of the time at the beach.

I'd definitely recommend it, my kids are desperate to go back but unfortunately we won't make it this year.

Also, The pub in Pentewan village is very popular and does great food.

Ah thank you for your replies. I've noticed there are no beach pitches left only ones nearer the arcade so will have to check the pitch sizes.

We went in 2012 and had a fantastic holiday. We were there for two weeks and would happily have stayed longer - there is so much to do in the area. We stayed in a static caravan which was nice and spacious with a sun deck. Loved the beach (and beach bar!), soft play was handy if your DC are young enough, pool was good if quite busy. We ate in the restaurant a few times, can't remember much about the entertainment though.

Mevagissey is a lovely village, with a funny free museum and aquarium at the harbour. There's a bakery that does amazing pasties too.

I live nearby and I've camped there. Regular to the seahorse centre. Do you need more info?

Hiya And I'm just worried about the pitch sizes as I don't want to feel too cramped. The only pitches available seem to be in F field left side of the entrance do you think these seem OK??

The pitches were a decent size, but we didn't like the idea of being totally surrounded by other pitches. Some people love this as get charting and make friends with neighbours, but DH likes a field to himself. The beach pitches are extra big (and extra pricey!)
I believe when you book they tell you the pitch size, just check your tent/van and car all fit. We saw some pitches with caravan plus full size tent plus cars!

This is a shot from the cliff. If you zoom in can see lots of space ( although these are furthest from the clubhouse, there are just a lot more like this on that side)
