Just wondering if anyone has a list of essentials to take camping with a 1 year old for this summer? We will have a trailor tent and awning. We have camped before but not with child! TIA

My little man loves camping. First trip at 7months old. Was really easy until could run off :-)

Our essentials -
Travel cot - to use as playpen!
Convenience food - pouches, cartons of ready made formula (if using)
A trug for bathtime
A plastic booster chair (that normally attaches to a dining table) to use as a portable highchair
Plenty of warm clothes
Waterproof trousers (they'll spend ages on damp grass on knees/bum!)
Waterproof backed heavy weight picnic blankets that don't crinkle up and trip you up when crawled/ walked on (Mountain Warehouse do some good ones)

Great list.
If you've no room for a trug, see if dc will fit in a bucket you can then use for other things such as clothes washing. Or buy a £1 shop paddling pool.
All in one waterproof suits are fantastic if it's wet, they won't slide off when crawling.
Loads of socks, dc will be out of the tent and on the wet grass before you've noticed and put his shoes on!
Gro-bag/baby sleeping bag and blankets
Buggy/pushchair, can be used for mealtimes/sleep times/ to contain child so he can watch you put up the tent/to sit in whilst you shower etc.

Introduce yourself to those camping nearby, so when he crawls off (again) they will know where he belongs!

We've camped with little kids loads and it is absolutely fine.
