So I appear to have bought a small Campervan and now looking for recommendations on sites to go to. Two children, leaving DH at home to do the B&B, Dorset, Devon and Hampshire for weekends, South Wales and Cornwall for longer trips. Really looking forward to this.

For Wales, Fforest Fields is fabulous

What sort of site? Larger with facilities or small & basic?

We like sites walkable to beaches, towns or attractions, or with a bus stop, but looking at my list we have done about 14-15 sites a year so don't know where to start with recommendations.

For Dorset with kids, Longthorns Farm is lovely and right next door to Monkey World for a day trip out, and you could park at the Tank Museum and do that if your kids are a bit older ( I was amazed how much I enjoyed it , just agreed to let DH go)

Walkable to beaches, somewhere to eat etc. I live 4 miles from Monkey World, would like to get a bit further 😃

I'm very jealous of where you live.

Golden Cap is a lovely site if you can get a seaview pitch at front of site, nothing between you and the sea except the Anchor Pub, and it's a good coastal walk along to Westbay. (Also stayed at the ParkDean site in West Bay, very cheap off peak)
We also enjoyed Sea Barn Farm site in Dorset

In Cornwall did Pentewan Sands, would only go if sea front or on edge as massive site, but has a private beach and we had a fabulous plot. Gwithian Farm, Trevedra Farm and Mother Iveys Bay- all different but enjoyed them all.

Camping in the Firest sites are good. Postern Hills is a short walk to Marlborough and has good forest walks and play areas (Wiltshire), and in New Forest Hollands Wood is walkable to Brockenhurst..

Swiss Farm in Henley is right next to Henley on Thames, so river walks and a lively town. The site has a lake, great kids play area and outdoor pool.

We stayed in Cirencester the other week, lovely site- 20m amble through a large park to get to the Cotswolds town.. My DH gets upset if we don't go away at least once a month.....

Maybe we will bump into you, we love Dorset.
Our next planned trip is Bruges and Amsterdam in 4 weeks, can't wait! DH is insisting we have another test drive before that though :)

Yes to Golden Cap and it's sister site Highlands End.
Both fab. Depends on preference as to facilities and location.
