Hi.

Just as the title says really.

Would love somewhere that is child and dog friendly. Not too commercial but with decent amenities.

We went to Green Hills last year which was lovely, safe and friendly. In contrast, we went to a huge site in Dawlish, Devon and it didn't feel as safe for the kids.

Looking for something like Green Hills I guess.

Thanks.

I stayed at the caravan and camping club site at Verwood in the new forest.
About 20 mins from Bournemouth.
Really lovely site.

We are going to Dogwood Cottage next week, near Rye. I can report back but we like quiet, child and dog friendly. Not too sure what you call decent amenities though, it doesn't have much in the way of facilities.

Yes, please report back.

Amenities - for example a decent, clean shower and toilet block, a little shop, electric hook up, laundrette, play area and maybe a nice local pub...

Mrs - we don't look for EHU or facilities really. A toilet and a shower - both of limited numbers, some decent walks and a pub (is a bonus).

Maybe I am not best placed to recommend for you as I am happiest in a field without anything else Grin - hermit like almost.

Lavender, that made me smile! I like a few more creatures comforts. You can take the girl out of the city but you can't completely take the city out of the girl and all that!

We've been to dogwood twice and really like it. Lavender I think it will suit your requirements!

Thanks RandomHouse, we are really looking forward to it, it is 20 odd years since I have visited the area so it will all be new to me (which is good).

Hi,

I spent all of my childhood holidays at Sandy Balls. Google it.it's actually the owner's name, anyway apparently it's still as good now as it was then.

Norden farm by Corfe Castle. They have a small childrens playground, farm animals and we'll stocked shop. Short drive to some lovely beaches too!

The Inside Park at Blandford Forum is lovely, set in woodland and easy access to anywhere in the area - we visited the New Forest, Bournemouth, Exeter and Stonehenge when we stayed there. Some of the pitches are on a bit of a slope, which is the only negative I could find (we were on the flat). The playground is locked up at 9pm which is a bonus!
