want to camp next year, any tips on good sites.

We went to Dorset this year and stayed in static caravan at this site, but they also have pitches for caravans and tents. About a mile outside Swanage.

very clean, indoor pool, shower blocks etc were clean and onsite landrette and shop. Adventure playground.

A short drive into Swanage but Studland beach is alos a short drve away which is lovely.

Lots to do in area, Corfe Castle. Lulworth Castle, tank museum

This year and last, stayed at East Fleet Farm and thinking of going back next year. No kids club, but plenty of kids about (mostly of the non-noisy variety). DD2 and DS made loads of friends this year.

We camp at Sea Barn Farm, Fleet, nr Weymouth.

Basic site (no clubhouse or pool but you can use the ones at their neighbouring sister site if you wish) but it is very clean and quiet and has stunning views of Portland, Chesil Beach and Lyme Bay.

Wood farm in charmouth (I'll get a link): quiet site but has a park, and a pool (indoor), though it's extra. Lovely and clean, best loo blocks we've ever seen, family atmosphere (they tend to group families together in 'lanes' which is nice for the kids).

the area is known as the Jurassic Coast, because as wella snice beaches it has dinosaur walks, fossils etc.

Charmouth is a beach and teahouse type place, but Lyme Regis is close, and Weymouth / Bridport / Seaton all nice and do-able

we went to steaple leaze farm which is near Corfe. Working farm with a few huge fields allocated for camping, consequently you have loads of space for kids to run around. Very lacking in fascilities though, no showers/playground, but the upside is its cheap set in the most beautiful countryside and campfires are allowed at night. IMHO its 'real' camping at its finest, can understand not everyone would agree!!

We often go to one in Harman's Cross - dh & I are so old we can't remember what it's called but when (if) our brains get the zimmer frames in action I'll get back to you!

It's not plush or posh, the loos/showers are fairly basic, but have what you need (so it's cheap!). There's a family field - no dogs - with some swings, sandpit & seesaw.

It's about half way between Swanage and Corfe. We always know we're nearly there because the sun comes out everytime we drive into Corfe.

We love Dursle Door caravan park, it has everything you need and we love Durdle Door itself. Very beautiful

Rthe Inside Park near Blandford forum is nice. Good for indepentantish kids with bikes as they have an on site MTB route round teh farm and through their woods, nice big play ground too.
