hi,totally agree the best way to lose and keep weight of is watching what you eat and change your lifestyle if needed

anyway im back to counting but really think exercise is needed to lose the weight and i really need to up my fitness

so,years ago i used to play alot of badminton and really miss it so have bought rackets,net etc

is badminton good for burning calories?any other good sports/exercise good for burning calories i hate running by the way

Sure it is! In fact the best thing you can do is to apply a variety to your excercises. Don't be stuck on one thing, don't just do aerobics and most of all don't run (it is good for you but you hate it). Play badminton, try some push ups (just try and don't worry fi you can't do it), squats, then go roller blading or play tennis or soccer! Just have some excercies everyday and don't do one thing because then your body will get used to it and ignore your efforts :) You think I am joking? Nope. I bought Xbox with Kinect to be able to dance in Dance Central :P
