electric Medela Swing - second hand?

a friend has leant me her used electric Medela mini swing. She says it's sterilised but I think I would replace the plastic tubing. However, I've heard that you can't reuse these breast pumps, so I'm not sure if replacing some of the parts would make any difference?

Expecting my first child in a few weeks. Hoping to bf and express, but of course don't know if it will actually work. Should I just get a cheap hand expresser to begin with and then invest in a new electric breast pump once I know I can bf?

I read on here that you shouldn't buy them second hand. Something to do with valves or pumps not being sealed I think.

Hi,
I used with with first dd.
Have read online about reusing and have replaced all tubes seals etc. Taken pump apart but looks good as new.
Parts are relatively cheap on amazon. Did not want to take risk.
