started mixed feeding when ds was 6 weeks old as i thought i was going to lose my mind with tiredness please don't judge. He took to it brilliantly at first going from breast to bottle no problem but now at 9 weeks he is very fussy at the boob in the mornings and i have had to top him up after his 11 o clock feed with a couple of ozs of FF. Any advice from those who MF how do you tell if ds is getting fed up with breast ?

Sass,it is easier to get milk form a bottle so that is a factor. He might think 'Why bother?' when on the boob.

Also, the less you breastfeed, the less milk there will be so that also makes it harder to get the milk out.Breastmilk works on a supply and demand basis.

What you do is up to you of course (and hell yes,it's tiring isn't it?) but you need to know that you have probably compromised your milk supply. You could build it back up with a lot of patient breastfeeding or maybe express as well and give that as EBM in a bottle so that you get a break but you still have lots of milk.
