i really need to get the politics of bf.

but after ranting to my mum about, my cousin and her husband (yes the ones that saod woman had to do it discreetly)

mum said yes its like somepeople want to go back to victorian times, where bf women where expected to go upstairs

i didnt want to correct her, as she was one my side.

but i didnt think the victorias where prudish about bf

no, they werent prudish about it.
the very rich paid someone else to do it, as only rough poor woman could produce breastmilk.

everyone else could breastfeed in public etc, but not show any glimpse of ankles..........................so, its tits out then!!

they weren't prudish at all - the complete opposite.

There was a women's magazine published at the time called Lady's Book that used to feature articles on breastfeeding and nutrition and they were remarkably ahead of their time.
