I have 2 DDs, 18m and 2m. Earlier I was BFing DD2 with DD1 cuddled up, something I've done any number of times. Normally DD1 is cool with it but today for some reason she started trying to undress DD2 while she fed and when denied this, tried to yank her off the breast. It didn't look like DD2 was actually hurt but maybe she was because she proceeded to cry for the next 30 minutes or so, I mean really yell. And she doesn't normally cry much. I couldn't get her to latch on again for ages, but eventually I did and all seemed okay. Except that now whenever I try and get her to feed on the right (where she was when DD1 pounced) she cries. She's fine otherwise and fine on the left breast, but won't latch on to the right, and cries when held that way.

Any ideas? Or do you think it will pass? And any good suggestions re bfing with DD1 around in the future? Maybe the sheer volume of the crying earlier might stop her from doing it again, but I don't really want to count on it..

in the short term maybe try the rugby-ball hold, ie dd2 under your right armpit, for the right breast?
not sure what to suggest re dd1 though

Are you still feeding dd1? Maybe feed her first or at the same time, she may be jealous?

No, DD1 doesn't now remember me feeding her, so I don't think thats it..

Have tried Rugby hold, think that is helping thanks..
