ate a sandwich in a cafe this afternoon and now feel really nauseous. my little girl (3 months) has a bit of a bug already i think (has been pooing loads more than normal and vomiting up quite a lot - tho doesn't seem to be bothering her)

question is - if i have a mild dose of food poisoning should i feed her - if not, how long should i hold off for?

thanks

i'll be honest i'm not certain what the BFA advise but i never gave my daughter formula, even if i was ill...... its purely up to you at the end of the day, if she's taken formula before and you are happy to feed her formula instead of breastmilk or would prefer to feed her formula then do what you feel is best i say!!!

Keep feeding her. She won't catch it from your milk, if anything, she'll get antibodies.

You may feel quite poorly with it, though, food poisoning sucks at the best of times, but combined with BF and the exhaustion of a new baby ...

NQC is spot on
now is not the time to start trying her on formula, and certainly not the time to not be feeding her at all...

Absolutely - it would be crazy to start formula, when breastmilk can protect her from whatever she has (which she will not have got from your breastmilk which transfers antibodies, not pathogens). Hope you feel better soon.
