how much does yours weigh?

my DS is 2 months old and weighs 9lb5oz. he was born 7lb1oz and is still in new born clothes. 0-3month clothes are still massive. i was just wondering what other mum's ds and dd weighed especially if they were born around the same weight as my ds. just being nosey really!!!

My DS2 is 11 weeks and I have absolutely no idea how much he weighs, and don't care tbh - as long as he is happy and healthy! (He was 7lb5 at birth and I think he was just over 12lbs at his 8 week check).

I was obsessed with weighing DS1 when he was little, but promised myself I wouldn't this time as it just makes you worry unnecessarily - those pesky Health Visitors and their charts

All clothes sizes vary, my DS is just out of newborn in some clothes, yet neatly filling 3-6mths in others!

thanks Washer, i have so many clothes for him i have to keep trying them on him to make sure they are the right size!

DD was 7lb 12 at birth and wasn't in 0-3 clothes until about 6 weeks. She's followed her own quirky line on the charts! The HV was concerned from time to time but I was quite happy that she was feeding well and developing nicely. She's now nearly a year and only just in the 9-12 months clothes. Don't forget the sizings have to cover all babies so are just an average. Your ds was slightly below the 50th centile when he was born so might well be below average for a while - or might suddenly shoot up. You'll know if he's doing ok so don't worry too much about the charts or the clothes sizes.

LOL I constantly ask everyone I meet how much their l.o's weigh!
My DS was born 6lbs12oz. He went down to 6.3 at his lowest and gained very slowly to start with (6.13 @ 1 month so effectively only a 1oz gain on birthweight in a month!) At 2 months he was 8lbs 8oz. He didnt move into newborn clothes until 6weeks and 0-3 at 12 weeks.

dd1 weighed 6lb at birth - 3 and a half now and weighs only about 24/25lb! dd2 is 8 months and 3 weeks ago she weighed 17lb10oz. dd1 id only just on some things going into 2-3 clothes but mostly still 1 and a half - 2. dd2 is wearing 6-9 months - though they do both wear 3-6month leggings!!!

Baby carrot weighed 8lb 8oz a week ago - she's 12 weeks old! Born just under 7lb.

Ds is 9 weeks. He was 7lb 10oz at birth (but went down to 7lb 1oz at 1 week) and is now 13lb. He's wearing 3-6 months babygrows and vests and 0-3 and 3-6 everything else. However, dd was the same as your ds. She was 6lb 9oz at birth and was 9lb 8oz at 9 weeks. 0-3 didn't fit her til she was 3 months old. She's now 2.6 and is still in 12-18 and 18-24.
