i was wondering this. dd has a cow's milk protein allergy and her dietician gave us a tub of both. told me that if she reacted to pepti then move to pepti junior. so i guess pepti junior is more hypoallergenic. they are both whey based.

hopefully someone else knows more.

Hi, I think NotadmittingwhoIam has got it right - from what I gather the pepti jr is described as something like primordial or something bizarre which means every protien is broken down to the lowest level. It's for children who are very very allergic. It also tastes even worse than the pepti apparantly! DD got prescribed pepti for her cows milk protein allergy but she just wouldn't take it at all and as I'm still breastfeeding it wasn't that urgent - eventually when she was a year old we bought some soy formula which she will have a sip or two off and will happily eat in cereal and stuff. hope this helps
