Hi

My baby is two weeks old. She is only breastfeeding and has gained weight in first two weeks which is great.

Recently her poo has gone from that yellow you see on most websites to a bit more greenish. I have attached a pic...does this look normal or should we get it checked out...it still is a bit yellow...but more light ish green you could argue...it's hard to gauge.

Appreciate any feedback

Thankd

Oh, a warning about the pic in the thread title please!

It's fine, btw. Even green is fine as long as your baby is otherwise fine.

Haha. I had a bit too close a look lol. Has she got the sniffles at all. My ds (17 weeks) always gets greeny poos when he has a cold/blocked nose). internet diagnosing isn't good though Honestly though it could be for no discernable reason at all and go straight back to normal. Others will say it could be a fore/hind milk issue (Hmm) or cmpa (cows milk protein allergy or intolerance). Op I think its normal but if you are concerned please speak to your GP x

Normal.

Plenty of babies produce this, either occasionally or all the time.

In a baby who is thriving and gaining weight normally, it is NOTHING to worry about AT ALL.

But check with HV if you need reassurance.

It's normal. My dd had it (seemed to link to her teething when she was dribbling a lot). I've seen countless worried about green poo threads on here in the past. None that came with such a lovely picture though. Smile
