Feeding advice at 9 weeks :'(

My DD is 9 weeks and on comfort milk due to consiptation and suffered silent reflux which I'm pretty sure has gone.

She's on Dr brown bottle and still since birth only having 2oz every 2 hours. I've tried bigger teats but doesn't work. I wind in between and once I take her off the bottle, she refuses to take it back.

I'm at my wits end and just exhausted. Can anyone offer advice? Am I doing something wrong as to why she's not taking anymore?

Should I change back to normal sma instead of comfort?

Moominy, this and your other threads show you are having a hard time :(

People have suggested you speak to your Hv. They have also suggested that your baby's feeding is normal - and it is, from what you say. Two oz every two hrs is def within normal. Were your expectations different? Young babies sometime need feeding 'little and often' and this is especially the case if they have a bit of sensitivity as your dd may have, given her history of reflux and constipation.

What about accepting this and going with the flow? It need not be exhausting if you are not fighting it :)

Whatever. Have you considered talking to your Hv about it?

Hope things feel better soon.

I've just posted about my very hungry DS, however my dd was like this- she fed two hourly 2-3 oz till she was three months. It was exhausting but it is how she fed and it got better. I second going with the flow

Does your baby feed like that overnight? If so, do you have a partner and are they doing their fair share of overnight feeds?

If not, can someone take your DD for a few hours during the day to let you rest?

I would certainly go to speak to your HV or GP for advice/talk about how you are feeling as well though.

However that said, my DD is 12 weeks old and for a long time we were feeding on demand (still kind of) until she started taking bigger volumes. Then she naturally developed her own routine.

Although it's frustrating/tiring you need to keep in mind that your baby's wee stomach is, well, wee. If she's putting weight on, peeing and pooing then you are doing great!
