breastfeeding and slings/carriers/wraps

Has anyone had real success using a sling when breastfeeding? It's not something that I considered with DS, but I thnk it would be really handy to be able to do when baby 2 comes along in Feb as DS will only be 18 months and might not understand why mummy is sitting down a lot

If so, any tips? An recommended slings? I have a ER lightly padded ring sling and a wilkinet and might pick up some sort of wrap to try soon. I have big boobs (J cup) and they are somewhat 'pendulous' and when I breastfed DS I always had to support my breast with the other hand. Will that work in a sling?

Hi Suzi

I have small boobs (B/C) but have breastfed my DD in my BabyBjorn and in my Coorie sling. The Coorie is similar to your ring sling I think.

When my DD got a bit bigger I had her feet popping over the edge of the Coorie to enable her to be able to latch on.

Whenever I BF in either sling I only had 1 had free, never managed to have 2 hands free!
